MessageJust found your site and brings back memories of when working for the old post office was a pleasure. I worked at maltravers road and after that places demise Shffield parkway. Oh how things changed, more about paperwork than doing the job. I started work there in 1977 and took early retirement in 2006 and havn't missed work once although i have missed the banter and piss taking which still went on but on a reduced scale as we didn't get to see each other much (working from home). My old mate Richard your previous poster in the guest book, my dinner suit dosn't fit me anymore, are you thinking of aplying for another job? There is a story to tell about it but perhaps i will save it until another time.

MessageHello Denis,
I'm also fan of Deep Purple. Even I started listening their music as a boy of 13 (it was in 1978 when "gold days" were over) still I love them. Why? That's probaly becouse of John Lord's organs, Ritche's "violin like" guitar and Ian's vocal. I'm from Europe and they are from Europe - even it is a hard rock I can still hear something like Bach or Beethoven.
That is a great group! smilie
