| Message | hiya just found your site better late than never i lived in shrigley until i was 10yrs old i remember the new houses going up in shrigley my cousin terence stanway still lves in killyleagh i lived in main street maiden name chambers my dad worked in the tannery and my mum worked in killeyleagh mill we moved to essex in 1968 but i have been back to shrigley a few times how it has changed i remember the hoggs,breens,brennans,and as for joker morrison he was in our house more times than i care to remember regards deirdre chambers |

I'll have to get back to Killyleagh some day to see if it has changed any in the 30 years I have been in Manchester, Liverpool and Dorset. I am now retired and that is how I came across your site,passing a very cold and icy afternoon. Thank you for it,now I know it is there I shall keep going back to it to see if there is anyone else I know and what they are getting up to.  |

| Message | Thank you for posting the beautiful picture of the castle. We have traced our ancestry to Killyleagh. In 1700, my great, great, great, great, great grandfather, William Murdock married Mary Hamilton.. (still working on any connection to the Hamiltons who still live there. I think it's exciting to see this fascinating place! Do you know any Murdocks who maybe willing to correspond with me? Thanks in advance. Kay |
