MessageI served on board the USS Randolph as 2nd Class Seaman from the day the ship was commissioned to the end of the war.
I was in charge of the laundry. Worked 12 hours days keeping up with the needs of my fellow seaman.
If you want to discuss anything with me, talk to my friend, Bill Shaw at [email protected].
I'm 87 years old and in poor health. I'm not sure how much time left, but I would respond if someone wants to talk with me.
Contact Bill and he will get a hold of me.

MessageI served aboard the USS Randolph 57/58 cruise in V-1
as a plane pusher and wound up on the LSO platform.I
was assigned to drive in com air lant flag group and wound up on the beach til may/1960. Went back aboard
til discharged nov,1960.
Saw a post from Leo Swanson who mentioned airman Spacier who was lost on the 57/58 cruise when he turned into a prop, It took awhile to identify him because he was wearing someone else's shirt that day. I think we lost a few pilots also that year.
I remember it like it was yesterday, Great Ship.
