MessageMessage for Victoria Hamilton regarding Joseph Wegener. I served on the Randolph assigned to the Supply Office (S-6 div)while Joe was on board. 1961-1962 While on our two week at sea assignments Ltjg Ralph Howard, Supply office supervisor, would have Joe fly to Norfolk Naval base to pick up emergency supplies needed before we were relieved. He was usually gone for a day and returned on one of our planes with the supplies. I envied him at that time because he was of only a few who had the chance to take off and land on an air craft carrier. He is pictured with the S-1 division in the 1962 Med Cruise book.

MessageI donated 5 Randolph Roundups from the 57/58 cruise and a Task Group Alfa 1960 to the Naval Historical Center. They also have a cruise book from the 57/58 Med cruise. They were very helpful and will send you copies for a donation. There is a lot of information at this place.
