Message for Victoria Hamilton regarding Joseph Wegener. I served on the Randolph assigned to the Supply Office (S-6 div)while Joe was on board. 1961-1962 While on our two week at sea assignments Ltjg Ralph Howard, Supply office supervisor, would have Joe fly to Norfolk Naval base to pick up emergency supplies needed before we were relieved. He was usually gone for a day and returned on one of our planes with the supplies. I envied him at that time because he was of only a few who had the chance to take off and land on an air craft carrier. He is pictured with the S-1 division in the 1962 Med Cruise book.

Mr wilbur was wondering if there was anyone around who was on the uss randolph he is 87 now and often wonders about his old shipmates. He is my farher in law and is a very proud man. It would make his day if we could contact on old shipmate. He was on board during attack on iwojema and when kamikaze hit her. Thank you God Bless all and Thank u
Sorry meant to Add I believe my Dad was aboard 50's to early 60's not sure how long, his position, etc. I would like to know all about his years, friend's, duties, events, and am willing to share his life afterwards.

I donated 5 Randolph Roundups from the 57/58 cruise and a Task Group Alfa 1960 to the Naval Historical Center. They also have a cruise book from the 57/58 Med cruise. They were very helpful and will send you copies for a donation. There is a lot of information at this place.
