MessageI just wanted to thank you for your excellent website. I am a retired (several years ago) electrical engineer and did a significant amount of work testing software including setting up various network configurations of different operating systems and hardware.
I recently acquired a wireless router and bought a book on home networking. I thought with my past experience and the book it should be duck soup. Well, they don't do a very good job of telling you what to do when things don't work.
I had no problem getting the two pc's (one a wireless notebook and one directly connected to the router) to connect to the internet. However, I couldn't share my printers or files.
Thanks to the information on your website, I discovered that I had conflicts in the TCP/IP stack. After straightening the conflicts out, voila it works great.
Thanks again.
