Message | I have a XP Pro desktop and a XP Home laptop on a home network. I can set file and printer sharing on the desktop but it reverts back to disabled the next time I check it and I can't see the desktop shared files from the laptop. I can see the laptop shared files from the desktop. I recentely had and removd the java/byteverify virus. My Windows Restore points do not go back far enough to cover the period before the virus was discovered. Any suggestion on how to maintain the file and printer sharing setting?
Dave, If this does involve a virus (or any malware), please get help, as outlined in my Malware article. Dealing With Malware If this is a simple network issue, let's try to diagnose it in an open forum. See my Contact article. Contacting Me |
