Roger Wampler, McPheters as we knew it is located on WollweberStraBe. The street that runs through the compound is Leinenweber StraBe. Google map Bad Hersfeld, find the street then go to satellite map this will get you on the old compound. As you will see it looks the same. It is now civilian offices. [email protected]

Message3/11th ACR HHT, May 81-83, 19D Cav Scout, S4 M577A1 Operator. I was stationed in BH during the good old days. It was a different Army back then compared to nowadays ( I'm an AGR Supply Sgt.) I was located in the Barracks right in front of the parade field. The S4 shop was located behind and to the left side of the movie theater. I went on Reforger 81, what a cool time out in the field- that was the real Army!!

MessageHappy Thanksgiving to all. I'll be having my T'giving mess out of a genuine, stainless steel mess tray that somehow got stuck in my duffel bag in 1963..followed me all these years. I'm sure the food will be great, and the memories....
