MessageMy thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I was their today at the funeral and cemetery and even though it was so sad it was wonderful to see all of our old friends come together for him. I knew Zac from jr. high and into high school, but lost contact after he stayed at Millennium and I went to Agua Fria. I always remember him making me smile and laugh. One of my favorite memories of him was when I went to my first high school dance he was there with a girl friend of mine and I was nerves being that it was my first high school dance. He saw that I was uncomfortable came up to me got me to laugh and taught me how to swing dance and I ended up have them best time ever because of him. He will be so missed, but never forgotten, even though it has been several years since I have seen him I can still see him smile and hear his laugh.

MessageDear Whiting and Shouse family,

I am terribly sorry to hear about your loss, as a former member of the boy scout troop I remember Zac fondly during our numerous outings and campouts, I will always remember jokin around and having a good time with him and it saddens me to hear of the loss of someone so young that I knew during a crucial part of my growing up.

Sincerely,

Michael McKenzie Jr

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time of sorrow. Zac was such a wonderful young man, I will always remember Zac as a young man who always had a smile on his face. Take comfort in knowing that the lord had bigger plans for Zac and you will all be together again.

MessageMy fondest memories of Zac are from the days I coached him as part of the High School Swim team. He was a swimmer who did not take himself too seriously,(always the life of the swim team party), but took his roll on the swim team seriously enough to evolve from a "will he make it as a swimmer" to a leading and contributing swimmer on the team.

My heart has a warm place for each of the Whiting and Shouse swimmers who I was fortunate enough to have coached and fortunate enough to have been able to know them beyond swimming. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family and I know your faith in our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ will see you through this unexpected loss. With deepest sympathy, Sonny

MessageBrother,

This is a bittersweet time for me. A lot has already been said about your love, your generosity, and your smile. One of my fondest memories of you as an adult is sitting together on the tailgate of my pickup truck outside of the old Sagebrush house and talking. We had some deep conversations and I felt very close to you. As our lives took us on separate paths we had fewer opportunities for those kinds of conversations. I weep because I wish I had one more conversation with you and now I must wait. But I will see you again and it will be in the presence of God! Until then I will use the time I have in this life wisely and when I fall I will get back up and I will smile, for that is the legacy you leave.

Love,

Your Brother

MessageTo Zac's family and friends,
Psalm 116:15 says this "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints". Zac's relationship with Jesus was evident. He was easy to know because of the compassion and love in his heart.

When he came to our church there was always a light in his soul and grin on his face. He seemed to love church so much, he worshiped so freely for such a young man.

Someday we will all understand the ways of the Lord. For now we trust that Zac is at peace and he has all the answers to all the questions we do not. He is with his creator Jesus.

What do you think Zac would want for you and me?

Blessings,
Diana West (Womens Pastor of VVC)
