MessageSaw a weather alert today for the Roscoe area which promted me to do a quick search on the castle. My father was a Prince Hall Mason and I have a not to detailed memory of the castle. Our family along with other Masonic families, took a short vacation there when I was a child back in the late 50's or early 60's. Will phone my brothers and email your site to them. Maybe they can help in putting together an oral or written history for our children and grandchildren. I'm thinking of even taking a one day drive during the summer.

Thanks for the memories

Debbie

MessageI am interested in visiting -possibly taking photos- at the Castle. How can I contact the caretaker beforehand? Such a treasure!
Thank you for creating & maintaining this site. Keeping history alive (in SC).

I would like to go back and visit to get a better look of the place.. Do you know how to get A hold of anyone who I could contact to see if they allow visitors?

MessageThis appears to be a wonderful place.
It has a very interesting and somewhat mysterious history.
Noone knows what or who this place was built for.
I fully intend on visiting this place as soon as I can.

MessageMy husband and I were interested in getting in contact with the caretaker so we could tour the castle and take some pictures. Is there a phone number or address we can have to get permission?

MessageI have recently learned about this abandoned treasure from a video on youtube. There are no words to adequately express my frustration and sadness for the lack of care taking this magnificent home has endured. I am sad that the original owner, Mr Dundas was unable to see and realize the dream of his beautiful home for his family and loved ones. What strikes me most is here is this structure, built to be his family's beautiful and loving home, and here it is today alone and rotting. The faction that currently owns this property should be ashamed for their lack of care to this precious treasure.
