| Message | I was aboard the Randolph from '60 to '62, most of my time was spent in oi division as a radarman. I was on watch tracking the Liberian tanker as she bore down on us. I'll never forget it! Some of my time ,when I first went aboard was spent in V3 div. Apparently they needed people in OI div. so they gave some of us a test and I made it into OI. |

| Message | I was a Midshipman aboard the Randolph in the summer of 1966. We were in a NATO exercise in the North Atlantic when the Arab-Israeli 6 day was broke out, and we made ready to head to the Med if necessary, which it wasn't, and then returned to home port in Norfolk where we served as the change of command ship when ADM Moorer stepped down as CINCLANTFLT to become CNO. |

| Message | Was with HS-7 from '60 to '62 aboard the Randolph. I have been in contact with my old squadron, now at NAS Jacksonville, Fl, they are putting together an updated squadron history and have no information on the '62 Med cruise with the stop over in Bizerte, Tunusia. Anyone with info can send it to me as I plan to return for another visit soon. They would like to have dates and photos if there are any. I thank you now for the skipper for any help offered. |
