MessageChuck, I don't know how to thank you ... I spent days searching MS site and hours online with Dell trying to fix a sharing problem with XP Home and Pro and your site was the only one that told me how to fix it.

Thanks for putting this site out there!

MessageYou have a great site! I found it through a Microsoft forum. I am having problems with a home network, which I can browse on the Windows 98 machine, but not my Windows XP laptop. However, I can connect on the laptop through the IP address, so it has to be some browser issue. With some of your info, I should be able to solve it.

Keep up the good work.

MessageHello Chuck,
I am trying to get Home Networking to work in the following setup: Windows XP Pro w/ SP2 wire connected to a Linksys Wireless Gateway which is connected to a Satelite DSL and my Dell laptop with Win ME having a linksys-B Notebook adapter
PC-card. Both units connect nicely to the internet however I can't seem to accomplish networking with file and computer sharing.

I am about to read thru your blogs to see if an anser to my problems can be found. I have read some and feel with your knowledge I may be able to solve my delima.

MessageChuck:

Thanks for the leads on possible solutions to my problem of connecting to the Internet.

I am currently trying two things. I corrected the Power Management tab on the AsusTek Integrated Controller and also turned off the hibernation feature on my computer. Hopefully this will solve the problem.

Thanks

D-Man
