MessageStarting to play with Vista Ultimate and networking it with XP is more like an Ultimare.
Hopefully there are users in this site that would be able to help.

MessageHello, PChuck.

I only wanted to thank you for your blog: a lot of effort, and a fantastic result. I had to setup a Vista Home network (I work as a computer technician, but Vista is pretty new, and a bit tricky), and found a lot of useful information. Everything worked just fine!

Thanks and keep at it!

Fran

MessageChuck, so glad I found you through Microsoft Community. smilie I am interested in networking wired or wireless, two computers and one printer. This is the important point that led me here: I have a PC, Dell Dimension running Windows XP professional; I also have a Laptop, Compaq Presario, running Windows 95 (embed) OS. The printer is Dell. All I want is to be able to share files between the two computers and use the printer between the two computers. Can you help? smilie Are there any special situations or problems related to networking later versions of windows with their newer versions? what devises, other than a modem, router, and cables and network cards needed. Prefer wireless, or the easiest.
Thanks
