MessageI can't wait to try some of your recipes. I am sort of new at getting recipes off of the internet. I have several cookbooks, but this is so much easier!! Thanks for putting them for all to see.

MessageI have friends that have lived in New Orleans for more than 10 years. I was going to visit about twice a year. I decided to move down there 3 months before Katrina. I came back to WI when we evacutated. I tried it one more time and had to come back home for family reasons. There will always be a little piece of New Orleans in me. Love the food, music and people.

MessageI was born and raised in New Orleans, and never wanted to leave (when you grow up in heaven everything else seems a little bit like hell)I have been living in Euless, Texas since Katrina, not a day goes by that I don't think about and/or miss New Orleans. Websites such as this bring me great joy, drinking Cafe Au Lait as I read thru, I can taste the cuisine of New Orleans and having a wife(from Metairie) that can REALLY cook, I can find recipes that we both enjoy.
Anyone else in the DFW Metroplex that craves some REAL New Orleans cooking just stop by Pierre's Mardi Gras Cafe, not only will you be "transported" back home, you are very likely to run into other New Orleanians and then you can do what Yats do- Talk about great food and places to eat - while you are eating! And don't forget to try some of their Bread Pudding!

MessageThanks for what you have done, it really touch my heart to know people really care about what we have gone through. I was displaced 1st to Shreveport, working as a manager the store I managed was robbed 3 times, I thank God for saving my life all 3 times and fled to Georgia. Now I feel that God has displaced me to protect me and I say peace be still, peace be still. So I remained and made Georgia my home, I get the message Lord, I will no longer roam, although I still consider NOLA my home.

Missing NOLA EVERY DAY IN EVERY WAY!
