Message | To Ed Montgomery I was in K Troop 71-72 and worked in the motorpool. Are you the same Montgomery that jumped off a Sheridan and caught your ring? If so I was the one who drove you back to Hersfeld to have your ring cut off and finger stitched. Had some good times there. Would love to go back and check the place out. [email protected] |

Message | HHQ from 65 to 67. For Gaither Deitz and Chris Hanch. Sgt Jackman would be amazed and ticked off that we were talking about him. As I said in a previous notice he restricted me to the barracks for a week for missing bed check. I was jus a few doors down from the orderly room. I was in the motor pool and worked on tanks most of the time. Sgt Burkett, (shakey) was in charge of us and we had a warrent officer in charge of the pool. I enjoy seeing the pictures of the base and the town. I was good friends with Al Sestawicki who played guitar. Also Sgt Engelky was a great guy who worked with Us. I was in charge of the tool room for about a year which was great because you could stay warm most of the time. Remember the days of ground hoping the tank engins in winter. Guard duty, 2 on 4 off I made spec 4 while on alert the day that Ali beat Liston. Too many memeries to list.My email is [email protected] |

Message | When you're working to achieve something, it is vital to have a clear idea of what it is, and to keep that idea at the forefront of your attention. Otherwise, too many influences are ready and waiting to knock you off track. What reminders do you have to keep you focused on your success? Keep remembering where you're headed, and you'll have the strength to get there. |
