MessageMichael,
He was buried at Cloghagh graveyard, between Timoleague and Bandon in West Cork (near his home place I believe).

MessageI am so proud to have seen my great uncle Denis Spriggs (murdered in July 1921 on Blarney Rd.) remembered. It is a fitting tribute to an amazing man who at 19 years of age was just begining to live and who will never be forgotten by his family. I will show this site to my daughter when she is old enough to understand. Thank you.

MessageAlison,

The only reference to Mason that could be found by me is a reference in the book 'Who's Who in the Irish War of Independence' ...

Mason, Susan - Brendan Road, Dublin. Private secretary to Michael Collins.

Sorry could not be of more help.

MessageHi there. Good to see your Website again! I would just like to ask a question for a friend. Although I share the same surname with this person, he not a relative to me. My friend's grandfather was Frederick Mason and he was born in Cork and lived in Dublin by 1912 and when he got married there in 1917. He was an IRA volunteer from 1912 to 1922 about. He escaped Ireland by jumping ship to America. My friend wonders if you know anything about him from his time in Ireland? My friend is researching his family history at present and would be greatful for any help. Kind Regards, Alison.
