| Message | hi i was browsing the internet and came across your website. It caught my eye because i was born and raised in Killyleagh. I moved to England about 5 years ago to live with my mother. The majority of my family still live in Killyleagh, and i visit Killyleagh as often as I can. My first school years were in Killyleagh primary school then i moved schools and eventually carried on my education in Down High, Downpatrick. I used to sail at Killyleagh sailing club with my father. such brilliant memories. The white coloured house you mentioned where you were born was made into flats pictured in the latest photo on your site. My grandmother lives in those flats. you used to be able to look out of her window across the Lough and see portaferry. It looked best at night when it was all lit up but they have now built on the quay and built flats and holiday apartments. unfortunately they have blocked out the fantastic view. Killyleagh is such a wonderful place to live or even just visit. i would highly reccommend it. |

| Message | Your stories were great! I had a good laugh I can tell you. I was a youth-in-training in Gosport Exchange (Portsmouth Area) and the boss was the cleaner Fred. He had been a P.O. in the Navy and thought he still was! I wore slippers in to stop him blaming me for any scratches in the floor. One day we were having a tea-break (yes made with Fussel's tinned milk you know!) He burst in and shouted Alright! Alright! WHO SHIT THE PAN?? Did he really think someone was going to jump up and say It was me Fred, I shit the pan, sorry Fred!! Happy Days eh?  |
