| Message | I grew up in West Derby and looking at these pictures has brought memories flooding back, such a great site. I was trying to find out what the road surface was like when I grew up as I remember cobbles and my brother says there weren't any. Didn't find a conclusive answer (no cobbles - grrr), but close to tears looking at some of these beautiful photos, thank you  |

| Message | hi my name is the same as my dads and my dad lived in knotty ash next door to ken Dodd my nan and grandad had 13 children two died I would love to see were my dad came from he is 82 years old now he went in the army he was a parachute regiment and my uncle bill went in the navy there is a lot of history I am trying to find and thankyou for showing the pictures xx a lot of my aunties and uncles come from Liverpool they were chefs on the london train xx |

| Message | I loved looking through all your photographs. I have lived in Liverpool my whole life. I began in Nebo street L15, lived in Liverpool 8 then moved to 3 more areas of Liverpool after that. I currently live in L16 and the photos have brought back some great memories. Thank you.  |
