MessageWhat a huge loss to MMA community. Shawn was one of the most approahable, real, nice MMA stars. He took the time to shake all of his fans hands, take pictures when asked and answer all questions asked of him with an honest heart.

MessageI attended the press conference after an IFL event in Atlantic City back in 2006 and congratulated Chris Horodecki who had just KO'd his opponent....Chris I believe was 19 at the time and I was blown away by his performance. Shawn stepped over and proudly introduced himself...completely beaming how the fight went down. We spoke for quite a while about Team Tompkins, the IFL, MMA, and life in general. What struck me about Shawn was his passion for the sport and for those he held dear to his heart. I never had the opportunity to converse w/ Shawn again aside from our Facebook friendship; however I've followed his success via those athletes he helped prepare. Peace, love, & healing to the entire family.

Kind Regards,

Mike Pelletier

MessageI am sorry to hear about the loss of a great MMA Coach. I have always looked forward to seeing how Stout, Hominick and Horodecki fair off against their openents. He always had good game plans for those fighters and taught them very well and I am sure that who ever he taught at TapOut and Extreme Couture will surely miss him. He will be very missed in the MMA World

MessageMy name is Darren and I am a huge of fan of fighters like VItor Belfort,Sam Stout and Wanderlei Silva who were all trained by Shawn. My thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family at this especially sad and tragic time. Other than Firas Zahabi and Greg Jackson Shawn was one of the best trainers in MMA.

RIP Shawn and thanks for producing world class fighters and your memory will live on.
