MessageWhen I first met Shawn he was an inspirational guy and I knew he was destined for greatness, I was always proud to say I knew Shawn Tomkins and that we crossed paths. Just today I encouraged one of my martial arts classes with one of his I CAN talks and attitudes. You will be greatly missed SIR! My condolences go out to all of the immediate family and extendend family at TEAM TOMPKINS.

MessageJust a quick story about how amazing Shawn and Emilie are.....there was a smoker event at extreme couture a few years back and Shawn knew the owner at umac in Canada . He invited us there to fight at the smoker and stay with him at his house for the weekend. Shawn did not even know me and my partner but they took us in. Shawn, Emilie and their dog cowboy were the best hosts ever.
I gotta say that it was one of the best weekends of my life.

I was lucky enough to see him again at the Toronto ufc expo in Febuary.
You will not be forgotten.

MessageOur Deepest Condolences to Emilie, Mr. and Mrs. Tompkins, Fred and the rest of the family.

Our girls, Angela and Renai loved training with Shawn when he started Tompkins Karate in Tillsonburg. Angie is now a second degree blackbelt instructor, he truely inspired her. Shawn will be greatly missed by all. A true dynamic person with great heart. We are sorry for your loss Emilie but know that even before Shawn became a huge name he was a good person. He will live in your heart and memory forever, may you find peace and comfort in that.

MessageI have known Shawn since he was a little boy, and followed his career like he was a part of my own family. He will be missed greatly by all that knew him and I am still in shock over this news. He will always be Tillsonburg's hometown hero. We carry him and you in our thoughts. It so hard to try and express the sadness that fills my heart that he's gone. I'm sure its worse for all of you, hope that somehow you can find sense in all of this by remembering he was on of the greats. I am sending my deepest condolences to all of his family, you are in my thoughts and prayers at the most saddest of times.

MessageI never even had the pleasure to meet the coach. And yet when I heard the news of this I broke down and cried. And still with every tribute link or every video I cry. A true ambassador of the sport one of the good guys. Taken from us all way too early. My heart goes out to his wife emilie and the family and all the fighters that have looked up to the coach for so many years. Stay strong guys. He's inside all of you. Rest in peace Shawn you will be missed by more than you could ever imagine.

MessageMy thoughts and prayers go out to Shawn's friends and family. I was fortunate enough to meet " Coach " at UFC on Versus show in Louisville KY. Shawn was walking the halls of arena stopping and happily giving his time to everyone that approached him. He took the time to take pictures and sign my sons shirt. He made you feel like you were friends forever. My son still talks about meeting the coach. He was the kind of person this world needs more of. R.I.P A great coach, person,&representative for MMA. His family will be in our prayers.
