MessageHi I'am Evelyn Russell resident at 808 NE 19th St Oklahoma City, I am a single mother blessed with 2 daughters. For a while now I have been searching for a genuine loan lender who could help me with a loan as I no longer have a job, all I got were hoodlums who made me trust them and at the end they took my money without giving me any loan, my hope was lost, I got confused and frustrated, it became difficult for my family to feed with a good meal, I never wanted to have anything to do with any loan lending companies on the internet again. Not until I met a Godsent loan lender that changed my life and that of my family Through the help of a fellowship member "a lender with the fear of God in him Mr JASON RAYMOND, he was the man God sent to elevate my family from suffering. At first I thought it wasn’t going to be possible due to my previous experience until I received my loan worth $135,000.00 USD in less then 24hours. So my advise to anyone out there genuinely in need of a loan is to contact Funding Circle Loan INC through this official email:- [email protected] OR Call/Text +14067326622 and be financial lifted.

MessageHello Joan,

Your book "This Organic Life" was the first "gardening" book I ever read. It really is so much more than a book about growing food. To me it is a book about life! I continue to open the pages and jump into your life with all its ups and downs. This note is to thank you in a very small way for being willing to allow us to share your journey. I pray you have been blessed and will continue to be blessed for all your efforts!

Thanks again,
Nancy Warren

MessageHi Joan
I am a Culinary Nutritionist/RD who organizes farm tours in SB for people to meet their farmer and learn where food comes from. It is the most popular Meetup in SB county!!
We met in Santa Barbara at an Edible SB event where you were speaking shorting after your book Growing Older which is on my bookshelf. I have a photo of both of us that I took with my cell phone. In my job as a Sansum Medical Clinic, I ask people if they garden and shop at the Farmers Market. I am visiting my sisters in NJ for a reunion August 21-25 and also want to visit the Hudson River Valley and Stone Barns Farm. AND would love to share a cup of coffee, tea or wine with you in your garden..any possibility? I am also looking for a place to stay..even camp with view of the Hudson and places to hike and kayak...have anything to recommend? With much respect Gerri French

MessageFriday, April 28, 7 pm -- "SUSTAINABLE" a FILM EVENT WITH PANEL DISCUSSION at Hendrick Hudson Free Library in Montrose

We are proud to present a new documentary hailed by The Hollywood Reporter as, "A persuasive and refreshingly positive eco-foodie doc." A vital investigation of the economic and environmental instability of America's food system from the agricultural issues we face -- soil loss, water depletion, climate change, pesticide use -- to the community of leaders who are determined to fix it. Key interviews with noted chefs and cookbook authors Rick Bayless, Dan Barber, Mark Bittman, and Marion Nestle are included. "Sustainable " is a film about the land, the people who work it and what must be done to sustain it for future generations. Environmental advocates from Stone Barns, Field Goods, and Good Choice Kitchen, and others will facilitate a discussion following the screening.

Please contact me for more information. Thank you!

MessageHi Joan--I recently read this organic Life and was blown away. There were also many parallels between your story and ours (the wife and mine). We moved to Valley Cottage from the city in 1993. Our property is an oak forest with little shade so we've been struggling growing vegetables the last 12 years or so. Your book was hugely informative and entertaining and I'll certainly read your other publications. And what a small world! Turns out my brother-in-law knew Alan from working on the Clearwater cruises. My wife's is an old Nyack family...Would love to meet you and visit your garden some time. Thanks!--Matt

MessageI've recently discovered your book, and am thrilled to know there are others who feel as strongly as I do about food production! I grew up gardening, and taught myself food preservation skills in my mid twenties. Every year I can, freeze, dry and prepare hundreds of pounds of food that sustains my family the entire year. In addition,I make all our household cleaners, and hygiene products. This year,I get the joy of making baby food for my son, and am so excited to teach him about the importance of living off the land as we add chickens, goats, bees, hogs and mushrooms to our 3 acre homestead. Your writings are wonderfully relatable and validate all the hot and tedious hours spent working with food. Once in a while, in moments of difficulty,I wonder if it's all worth it, and if I should work in an office and buy my food like everyone else I know, but your words remind me that there is nothing more precious than providing my family with food, and spending the days with my son in the garden and kitchen. Thank you, and happy growing!

MessageHi Joan,

i attended your recent talk at Cornell Cooperative Extension in Rockland County as a volunteer master gardener. You mentioned a great and unexpected result of growing sweet potatoes and how the garden soil was greatly benefited. Would you be able to write back and remind me of what you found? It was something about the microorganisms that attach to the sweet potato that aids the soil. Thank you for your help. And do you suggest planting one potato in each of my 7 raised beds if I'm needing to enrich my 'dead" soil. Thanks for any feedback. I so enjoyed your inspiring presentation. Best, Christina
