Message | Shortly after arriving in Vietnam in June ‘68, I was assigned to Alpha Co., 1st Bn 20th Infantry, and met Captain Bill Adams, the Commanding Officer. Back then all I knew is he was our leader and we were there to do a job. Its only during the past few years that I had a chance to get to know him and I’m thankful that I did. Captain Bill Adams (Wild Bill) was quite the guy and he will be sincerely missed. Our deepest condolences go to Bill’s family and friends. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Message | To All, Wild Bill and I shared the Americal Div. as a home and duty station. I met him in Reno and got to know him through the internet. There were no gray areas with Bill, you either were or you weren’t, I liked that about him. The world was a better place with Bill in it and now heaven is a better place with Bill. Distance and time does not allow me to be in attendence on Monday but I will be there in spirit. My deepest sympathies to all of the Adams family, thinking of you in this time of loss, Randy Cline Comment by Randy Cline — July 7, 2006 @ 10:18 am |
