MessageYou and your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this time. We remember our evening together with you and Bill for
dinner when we were on our cruise. Bill and Joe had a great time telling their stories and being together again after all those
years. May the Lord Bless and keep you always in his care. Joe and Deb Adelsberger

MessageDear Sheri and family, Duyen and I send our deepest condolences to you and your children, and look forward to the
opportunity to have a quality visit with you here when you return to Hawai’i. There’s little more that I can say that hasn’t
already been said so eloquently about Bill by his other pals, whether it’s about his valor and professionalism as a soldier, his
sardonic humor, his fishing prowess, or his loving devotion to his family. He was “da’kine”, a cool guy who we respected, liked,
and wished we could have seen more of over these past years; and I will personally miss him dearly as you will. A hui ho me ke
aloha pumehana, Bob & Duyen

MessageI really didn’t know Bill that well. I spent a week
with Sheri & Bill in Hawaii when one of his daughter’s
got married. His son Barry is my son-in-law. From my
brief talking & typing to him (he was on my e-mail list), and reading everyone’s comments, he was a great man. What an honor
for a great soldier to be remembered every independence day. And you won’t be forgotten, Bill.

MessageEvery family has those favorite stories which are repeated time after time, whenever family members gather for holidays,
weddings, and yes…funerals. One of my favorites is about Bill - when he was a little boy. My husband, Ray, enjoyed telling
about Billy Joe (as he was called when he was just a little fellow) being enthralled with the idea of joining the Army and
jumping out of airplanes. In order to get ready, Billy Joe apparently would jump off anything - the higher, the better. Ray
would always whoop with laughter as he recalled Billy Joe leaping off the barn with a sheet tied around his neck. Many family
members swore he would never live to adulthood, but would perish after jumping out of a tree or off a cliff before he was
grown. Many years later, after Bill was in the service and had become an honest-to-goodness paratrooper, Ray would smile,
repeat the story about the sheet and the barn, and fondly laugh about how about how all that practice had finally paid off. We
were all lucky to have had Bill in our lives and he will be deeply missed by family and friends. Aloha, good buddy, ’til we all
meet again.

I will forever miss you and remember all the good memories we shared. You fought the hardest battle at the end and made me
