MessageSHERI & DANNY,
I’M GLAD TO HAVE GONE TO KONA AND REUNITE WITH BILL AND BILL “YANKEE” WRIGHT.IT WILL ALWAYS BE
THE ONE OF THE BEST VACATIONS WE HAVE TAKEN.
FIRST MET CAPT.ADAMS ON LZ LIZ,I WAS ASSIGHED TO KEN MELESKY SQUAD”002″.BILL AND I HAVE
EXCHANGED MANY E-=MAILS ABOUT OUR TIMES IN THE FIELD.I WILL MISS THOSE E-MAILS.
BILL IS NOW IN THE BIG LZ,MAYBE PLAYING POKER AND DRINKING SCOTCH WITH “MAGGIE”.I LOVED THOSE
STORIES.
WE ALL STILL WILL CARRY MEMORIES OF OUR TIMES WITH CAPT.ADAMS,HE IS GONE,BUT NOT FOEGOTTEN.

MessageJoe could talk to anyone about anything. My favorite memories were talking about hunting, fishing, and all the good ole’ country cookin’ recipes. I had the privilege to cook for him on occasion, and sincerely hope he enjoyed; I’m guessing by the seconds and thirds, he did. smilie
Thanks for all the great memories, your dedication and LOVE for your Family and Country. You were one-of-a kind! We all miss and love you Uncle Joe!
Love,
Tote

MessageA Prayer To Bill Now In Heaven, I shared with you how your brother John was my rehab inspiration 10 years ago after my bypass. If I had been able to tell you good bye, I would have told you that you gave me new inspiration in how to live with health challenges and make the most of each day that God gives us here on earth. God gave you an angel in Sherilyn and I know how proud you are of all your children. They will honor your memory and God with their lives. Thank you for all you
gave us.

MessageI’ll always remember the first time I saw Capt. Adams. It was the end of a hot eventful day in early August 1968. When I had
arrived the day before, Bill had been somewhere, doing something. That evening 2nd Platoon was operating alone, but Bill
came to where the action was. He stepped off the chopper and you could feel the change in the men and the day. Bill Adams
had that kind of effect on everyone around him.
I remember the last time I saw him at the Alpha Company Reunion in Reno with Sheri. Bill looked like a man who had lived a
full life and was content with who he was. He deserved to be because he made a difference for a lot of people.
God rest Bill and bless the Adams family,
John and Dola McNown

MessageI served with Bill Adams during my tour of ‘68-’69 with Alpha-1/20th-11th LIB Americal. I salude you Sir.
Cpt. Adams, rest in peace in LZ Heaven. We will miss you here but say Hi to all the Alphagators with you. I will see you in the
air some day soon.
To Bill’s family, My heart goes out to you and my prayers are with you. Jesus did not leave us alone. HE promised the
comforter will give us peace at times like these. The Word says that HE will take us THROUGH the valleys. And at the end,
there will be no more suffering in my Father’s house. Amen.
Peace and Blessings, Tommy-grunt
