MessageJust great. Found your blog while looking for recipes for Andouille sausage. Hard to get in Oz.
Will give it a go!!!

Site is so fresh, and your food shots are great.
Haven't been to New Orleans since 9 /11 days when was attending a surgical convention there!! went to some pretty good eateries with the surgeons and their wives. One that was being given a good rap was run by an Australian chef from Carlton - a mid city suburb here in Melbourne. Was out in the suburbs near the Louis Armstrong statue.

Will use your site to keep an eye on what's happening. The oyster shot is great. Wants to make you reach into the screen and start munching. A friend has a US smoker - a giant of a thing he had shipped out here - almost as big as the fire truck. He smokes using our coastal Tea-Tree. His beef jerky is de-vine. Aromatic.

Got to try the bacon!!!!!!!!! Wow

Don't know how you find the time, but very glad that you do.

With best regards,

Liz Chapman

MessageI grew up in NOLA but moved to LA too many years ago to count. I found your site looking for a recipe for muffuletta olive salad because my fav Italian deli stopped carrying the imported jar stuff by the same name (but not really the same as the stuff from home). I can't wait to try it out.

** Anybody know where I can get Camelia red beans in LA?

MessageI grew up in New Orleans and ate creole food cooked by my great aunts. I have not been able to duplicate a few of their recipes and, since they have passed away many years ago, cannot ask them! I'm hoping your website can help.
