MessageI want to thank you for the gedcom file! With it; I discovered that my GGrand Parents were Geo. W. Gage and Elenia A. Mahone. Hopefully, someone from the Mahone branch will see this and contact me with more information. ([email protected])

Unfortunately, I have not had much success discovering any new information, other than being able to update some info from my generation.

Your gedcom gave me a much better understanding of the Gage Family ties on the lower Peninsula of Virginia.

It is a Great Site and thank you for creating it.

MessageI decend from Olive Stanley B. 1807 Ms. Territory. We were told from generation to generation that Olive and family was Choctaw Indian. I do know that Tom Smith was Choctaw and daughter Julia Ann Smith Gibson was on the Rolls with Choctaw blood percentage. I never have found Olive to be Choctaw but did find in the Cherokee rolls that she was of Cherokee blood. Do you have any knowledge of this? I have never found where a researcher has entered Native American Heritage for the Stanleys. Wonder why?

MessageYour site has given me some insight into the Gages' of Virginia. I would like to know more about my gg grandfather (Geo. W. Gage); i.e. place of birth, his parents, etc.

Someone told me they may have lived in Vermont?

I do have a photo of Thomas W. Gage standing on the bow of the tug, Wm. Stewart, circa 1930s. The is the only known photo, Thos. Gage, in existence. You are welcome to have a copy, should you want it?

I am retired, but I do work three days a week at Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, Williamsburg, Virginia. I did come across an old document which listed the dead and living persons in Jamestown in about 1621. One of the people is a Thomas Gage! Have you any information on this man? I will try and get you a copy of this document for your files.

May I have a copy of your GEDCOM file on the Gage Families?

Thank you again for responding to my email.

Gage
