MessageMy 3rd gt gpa James Overton Baker and Elizabeth Terry Baker were married in Louisa Co., VA on 14 Jan 1828. Their eldest son, William Daniel Baker, was born there in 1829 and is my 2nd gt gfa.. By the 1840 census, they were living in Raccoon Twp., Gallia Co., OH and from the 1850 census until their deaths, they lived in Bloomfield Twp., Jackson Co., OH. James was b. in VA in 1810 and Elizabeth was b. in VA on 3 Feb, 1809. Several of us in our family have been trying to trace their roots and are at the proverbial brick wall re their roots in Louisa Co.. Elizabeth and 3 or 4 sibs may have been orphaned and then raised by pat. gpa Emmanuel and Elizabeth Terry in Louisa Co.. We don't know if James O. was from Louisa Co. or a neighboring county. Does anybody know anything that can help us?? Many thanks. Lois Dye Trampe ([email protected])

Messagesmilie I love your website, I found it very useful. I had just recently found out that we were kin to the Isaacs/Isaacks family. My grandmothers sister had two books one on the Isaacks and the other on the Morgans, and they had how they were related to the Saxon family. Any way my great aunt had passed away and my grandmother had these books she sent them to me and the information was just overwhelming. I have been compliling a list to give to my cousins at the next reunion. I would love to hear from you if you have any updated information, these books are dated 1995. Not to old, I am sure this website will give me a start. THANK YOU so much for having this information where people like me can admire it.

MessageAll,

I very much enjoyed the website and surname research. I am sure that there is some linkage between the VA Moodys and the GA Moodys; however, I was unable to locate.

Thanks again,
Rob Moody

MessageI thoroughly enjoyed reading through "The Isaacks Clan in America" - thank you. I came from the New Mexico cattle rancher Isaacks clan. My grandfather was Robert Leigh (Bob) Isaacks who was the Dona Ana County Acessor for several years, as well as a cattle rancher (he passed away in September 2003). My Father was Robert J. Isaacks (1945-2002) and my two aunts are Leigh Isaacks and Sandra Jane Crocker. The older I get, the more I enjoy learning about my ancestors.
