MessageGreat site, it might be interesting to know more about the stations, how they are crewed, wholetime, retained or volunteers. Maybe the number of calls over recenct years too. All in all a great site with lots of fantastic pictures, well done.

MessageFAO: Steven,

Thank you for your reply to my earlier post I also thank you for info to another site, but I realise it must be good since this site this site provides a link to it. I never enter politics of accusation/s. I am too old for that game, and have spent many, many years serving my community in the brigade, and every one of them were worthwhile, and found it a priviledge to have been entrusted with saving and protecting people's lives and property. I am keenly interested in all FB & R sites. I have enjoyed what I have found here, and look forward to spending much more time here and the one you mentioned.
Once again team, thank you for a great site and look forward to perhaps contributing sporadically to its development.

Kind wishes to all.

John

The greatest complement you have paid these guys is that you have spent time on their site looking through the pages. You don't like it?? you don't have to come back...simple as!!!

I have looked through the Northern Ireland pages and haven't found 1 photo that shows them in a bad light so you seem to be talking from your rear end kid. I've been a fan of this site since last year and as was said earlier its very informative which is what i want from a Fire Brigade site.

Continued success to the Fire Ireland website
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK

Message@Steven
First this website never stole any information or photographs from any website. All info and photos used are with permission. Also no money was ever payed to anyone to publish photographs of the NIFRS in any bad light. We would love to know what photos you are talking about.

The RTC in question that you spoke about was never published on this site and yes your right for the first time a family member did contact this site in relation to another photo that we had put up. That person requested that we take the photo off the site which we did.

This site was set up to show the work of the fire service both North and South of Ireland and not to compete with any other website. So Steven before you post anything on any website in future please have your facts correct. If you would like to contact me by email or by phone please go to the bottom of our front page for details.

Regards Pat.

Message@ John Macneish,

For Northern Ireland photo's and information, blues-twos.com is much more up to date.

They also don't steal information from other websites or pay to publish photo's that show NIFRS in a bad light!!

I also came across a post on this message board from a Family member of a victim of an RTC where the car involved had been published.

Fatal RTC's, Fatal fires, Fatal SSC's...

Site hits, at what cost???

SICK.......

Steve.

MessageI have stumbled upon this site whilst surfing fire brigade sites. It is without doubt the most informative and pictorially accurate site of its kind anywhere on the web. Well done to all those involved in its construction, design and editorial. I will be passing on its details to many of my brigade friends. I am a long retired retained duty member of the now defunct South Western Area Brigade in Scotland, now part of Strathclyde Brigade.I joined as literally a boy fireman at the age of 17 and enjoyed every moment of my service to my (then) community of New Cumnock, Ayrshire. I wish you continued success here, and to all serving firefighters who visit here, I wish you every safe venture on every shout! I am now retired due to disability after a brigade RTC and now live in Portadown, Co Armagh.

MessageVery interesting site - I live in New York but my late parents were both born in Cork - my dad in Bantry and my mother north of Cork City in Buttivant. Looking forward to another trip to Ireland to see my many cousins who live in the Cork City area.

Thanks for a great site!
