MessageHi Tom,
Former USAFSS, '68-'72, radio intercept operator here. These days I do a little SWL and scanner monitoring here in Arkansas.
Many of the stately homes on Rt 33 just west of the Bromley Inn were built by Jack Barnes Sr. years ago. For more info, you may try to locate his grandson, Jack. He may still be the owner of Ocean County Coin & Stamps in Brick Twp. Young Jack bought out B & S Coin & Jewelery at the King's Fairground Mall in the early '80s.
Regards,
Mike

MessageTom: I too was a member of ASA (Arlington Hall, Vint Hill Farms, Eniwetok Atoll, etc) and I came across your name while doing so reseach for a class I conduct here in College Station, TX on The Big Band Era.

What I was looking for was a radio program about a newspaper editor named (I think) Steve Wilson and I think the location was Chicago. Does any of this ring a bell for you?

ditty-dum-dum-ditty

Bill

MessageWhat an incredible website. I don't think the Township itself has such impecable records. I wish I found your website a couple of weeks ago, it would have made my job alot easier.

I found through your website a link to an ancestor I had no idea lived in the area. Dating back to the 1850's. I'll have to let my father know, who does our family geneaology.

Thanks again. smilie
