| Message | To Gail, I can't understand your first question. The message is messing up. I am sorry that this is a suck guestbook. I have no idea where I can have a good guestbook or any good resource where people can leave Chinese message without messing up. Could you email the first question to me? Generally, international applicants submit applications in the end of year or January of the year. In your case, it will be December 2009 or January 2010. In this way, you will more time to arrange your audition or prepare some documents which you miss before. When I say "submit", it means you will have all your requirements ready included iBT or GRE scores. Some school have deadline in April. Anyway, you need to write each school's deadline, and use time wisely. Good luck |

| Message | To Lily, I am glad that you are interested in music therapy. Most of music therapy programs in USA ask applicants to have bachelor degree (BA) in music included music education, music performance and music, but there are some programs accept applicants who have BA related to music therapy, such as social work and psychology. For your second question, my answer is YES. It definitely helps you study music therapy. About the third question, it is possible that we, as clinicians, may be affected by patients. First, you have to be able to be aware of it. Second, you find some coping skills with it, such as talking to friends or professionals, doing some exercises, and playing instruments. Good luck. |
