| Message | To 倪玲 There is no top lists of music therapy schools. What you see is the general school list. As I know, Roehampton University is a great school. They want 7.0 on IELTS. If you really want to study in a good school that everyone knows, you definitely have to make your IELTS higher. Applying small schools or not all depends on your considerations, such as tuitions, locations, quality and culture acceptances. You may want to search some professors' paper to understand about schools more. Good luck. |

| Message | To Weing, If you want to study music therapy now, the answer will be YES. Yes, you can do it. You will be a transfered undergraduate student. After completing all requirements of the music therapy program, you will have a Bachelor degree in music therapy. I don't know how to be a transfered student from Taiwan to USA. You may have to ask someone or some kinds of agencies. You also have to ask schools in USA to prepare some requirements. | Message | To weing10, I am happy that you are interested in music therapy (MT). For recommended schools, I suggest you to take some factors as considerations, such as states, weathers, relates in USA, the size of schools, tuition, and different studies of MT in schools. Some professors are good at MT with special children, and some professors are concentrated on music with neurology. It all depends on what you want to learn. I can share my experience. I choose Georgia College & State University (GCSU), because they offer me assistantship. It decreases a lot of financial stress for me. In addition, I like warm weather. I don't have to worry about driving on the snowy days. There is a certification that all music therapist should have. It is national. All music therapists take it after they finish their interns. The answer for the third question is YES. Yes, you can study music therapy now. If you go to USA and study it, you will be a transfered student. Schools in USA do not require international students to have their undergraduate degrees first. I hope you get what you want.
