| Message | I believe William Ward transported poor Mary Richards on his cart after she was found mortally wounded. He later gave evidence at Llewellyn Harvey's trial. I was interested to hear you have heard from possible descendents of William as he was very likely my Great Great Uncle. He worked as a farm labourer. |

| Message | The McCann family had holidayed here before; they felt safe; the nationals were obviously great people; hence, leaving kids alone in room for short periods. I have done the same in PNG destinations. I believe an employee of the hotel (or close surrounds) had something to do with Madeleines disappearance. The kidnapper/s had planned taking Madeleine after a previous visit by the McCanns, after realising the McCanns would be returning to the country. It was not something done on the spur of the moment. | Message | There is something about the facts of the Madalein McCann case that stands out in my mind as troubling. Not only did the McCanns leave their three young children sleeping alone and the doors unlocked, while they dined in a restaurant, but they permitted their male friends to check on the children with no one else present. Matthew Oldfield one of their friends has claimed that he checked on the McCann children at 9:30 and said they were sleeping, and then recounted to say he did not really take a look. I have wondered if the recanting was merely to place himself away from suspicion at being the last one who claimed to see Madalein alive. What parents would allow a male to enter the room of their sleeping toddlers when they were not present? As a parent I have never allowed my children to sleep at a home where only the father would be present. There is no way to know if that person could inappropriately touch a child. I wonder if tne police have considered the possiblity that one of their friends, more likely a male who was checking on the girls, s assaulted Madalein and that she awoke and said she would tell her parents. Under this scenario or if she made noise I could see a scenario where this person might have killed her. It would therefore explain why he did not leave her there. The last person known to check on her would arouse suspicion and his DNA could be on the body and point to him. |
