| Message | I have been a Yankee fan my entire life and Thurman Munson has always been my favorite player. His numbers, his love of the game and the way he played should be more than enough to get him elected to the hall. He was a far better catcher than Carlton Fisk ever was so I am at a loss as to why he has not been elected. Maybe soon! |

Had he had lived, he would have easily had anywhere between 2,500-3,000 hits and who knows how many all-star and world series appearances. And to me that is 100% instant Hall of Fame credentials. He still is truly missed by all diehard Yankee fans throughout the world. |

| Message | As a Yankee fan I love what you're doing. I was born about 10 months prior to Thurmans tragic death, however my father was a die-hard Munson fan and has taught me what Thurman was all about. A true hero in every sense of the word. A ball player who left it all on the field and a loving caring family man off the field. In today's society this is a rarity, yet are values I plan to preach to my children when that day comes. It does not surprise me that Thurman was taken from the world too early, as he is a true example of what a 'man' should be. And it seems that those who provide the best life lessons are taken too early in our eyes, yet their example serves future generations for eternity. God Bless Thurman Munson & his family!! |

| Message | If Carlton Fisk is in the Hall of Fame, Munson deserves it.. He won the Rookie of the Year, 8 time allstar, 3 gold gloves., AL MVP 1976, 2 world series rings and Captain of the #1 franchise in all of sports. What more did he need to do??????? Carlton Fisk just played longer he wasnt better. Munson career ended because he DIED!!!!Meantime, Roger Breshnahan, Rick Ferrell with his 280 lifetime avg and 28 hrs, no mvp no world series.Ray Schalk. 253 career avg. 11 lifetime hrs. These men are in the Hall??? what a disgrace! What a miscarriage of justice!!!!! |

| Message | I hope your site has an impact when Thurman is next eligible for voting in two years. He was also my favorite player. I still remember the day I heard Thurman died. I was staying with my grandparents for a week during the summer and for some reason I looked at the newspaper (which I NEVER did, I was only 10 at the time). When I saw the sports page I was speechless. Thurman deserves his place in the Hall and I hope your Web site can help put him there. |
