| Message | I'm only 28 years old but after reading the latest book on Thurm's life and death, there is no doubt he should be in the Hall of Fame. Just becuase his career was cut short due to tragedy does not in any way mean he should be excluded from this honor. Thurman was true Americana at its finest...he was a family man, a baseball man, all in all a man's man. He did everything right in his life. Even if he is never officially inducted, he is a Hall of Famer by all means. His tradition of captain is carried on to this day by our current captain Derek Jeter, who, in his own right, is a modern day man's man...a team player, a tough guy, everything Thurman stood for. Thurman will never be forgotten. God bless you and your family Mr. Munson. |

| Message | Munson deserves his place in the Baseball Hall of Fame. Him not being inducted shows the apathy of the Hall of Fame Committee. He has the numbers, and the Yankee's have honored him along the sides of Babe Ruth and Lou Gering. Hall of Fame do the right thing! |

| Message | Thurman is one of my all time favorite Yankees. I would love to see him in the HOF, but, unfortunately I dont think that will happen. I am happy with the fact that he is in the Yankee HOF out in centerfield of Yankee Stadium. I think that he would enjoy that more anyway. |

| Message | I remember August 2, 1979 quite well as a 13 year old girl. I heard about Thurman Munson's plane going down and walked around the block in tears while the pouring down rain splashed upon my head. I recall the World Series and our team wearing the banners around their arms in memory of Thurman. They won that series for him. |
