MessageI loved this big lug from the first time I saw him. I was 8 years old! I'm now 59 and I still love him. As I type I'm was the film PHFFFT!(1954).Not one of my faves but boy he sure looks handsome. Anybody know where he's buried? I would like to have a pix of his headstone.

MessageJack's scene in "The Hard Way" where he sings "Latin From Manhattan" with Joan Leslie, is so hilarious that I can't stop laughing every time I see it!

MessageI absolutely LOVE Jack Carson. He got the girl in "My Dream is Yours", in which he outshines both Doris Day and is best on a par with the tremendous Eve Arden!! It's too bad they didn't work more together.

He was such a great actor, that I actually hated him,or his character, for the role of "Libby" in '54s "A Star is Born." But as one said in "Gentleman Jim" he steals the show. I am looking forward to seeing many more of his films. My Lord the man worked so hard, and so great.

One of my all time favorite actors, and the best thing, is I still have so much to see.

MessageWow, Melissa - what a great message! I think a lot of the women feel the same way about Jack - myself included, there's just something about him.

I live in Ireland so probably won't see your acting any time soon, but hopefully some of the other Jack Carson fans may get to see you.

MessageThank you, thank you, thank you for this incredible site ! You did a phenomenal job compiling all this together ! This is the best site ever ! xo

I first fell in love with Jack watching "Arsenic and Old Lace", and although that was a supporting role, I knew Jack had something special, that , "it " factor most actors lack. After locating more of his films, I could see more and more what a brilliant actor he was !

During this time, something really amazing happened to me. My husband and I had concieved our little girl , and my whole pregnancy I was charmed and engaged ( as I still am ) with Jack Carson.

Lo and behold, when my daughter was born, she arrived into the world on October 27th !!!! Jack's birthday !!! - xoxo I see Jack as my little Chloe's gaurdian angel if you will, because complications occured while I was pregnant, but when she was born she arrived COMPLETELY healthy !!! Even a good 9 pounds, and really beautiful ! xo

So thank you Jack for looking after Chloe and I, and giving the gift of your talented, handsome, magical presence to Hollywood and the world .xoxo..

MessageBefore i even went to school or was able to read or write i was a jack carson fan . i first saw jack in the errol flynn movie, gentlemen jim . variety mentioned that jack stole the movie . indeed he did . jack was on cbs radio at the time and i listened to his long running radio series. the cast of his radio series was fantastic dale evans, freddy martin , diana barrymore, arthur treacher , hal march , bob sweeney, dave willock , eliazaberth patterson, frank devol and the lists goes on and on . jack entered tv around st. patricks day 1951 in the production, room service and his tv output was immense. his radio series ran until 1957. jack was very much a 1940 to 1963 star . he did musicals, comedies and dramas on screen and in tv. i first saw him in a stage musical live on broadway in 1951. i was an irish kid from the bronx and seeing my first stage production was magical. jack also appeared in nightclubs and vaudeviile productions throughout his fine career. he even appeared in comics . like a god he seemed to be evey where during his era . jack succumbed to cancer far too early . i remember the anouncement of his death as if it was yesterday when nbc announced that jack had died in sherman oaks. as a boy i wish I had an uncle like him . in 2002 i visited jack in forrest lawn . i guess he became my childhood hero. even though he usually played the average guy leadjng man on screen . to this day i feel that he is still here. michael boyle
