MessageHello! I am a volunteer from St. David's Episcopal Church near Albany, NY. We have many Burmese refugees that need assistance assimilating into our communities. I need lots of help understanding Karen language. I work with the local schools and medical/dental facilities as well as our Refugee Center. Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

MessageI work with some Burmese refugees in Sheffield. They are some of the nicest, most helpful, hard working people I have ever met and it is a privilege to work with them.

I thought I might surprise them and try to learn a few sentences of Karen, especially as I have been invited to their New Year celebrations tomorrow.

From my point of view this website is brilliant but it would also be good to have greetings such as:

Hello my name is.....
How was your weekend?
How are your family?

Happy New Year Everyone!
