I can't remember the whole poem but the last two lines sounded something like this: It's what you do with what you got so do the best you can. We’re here to honor Kinship Care For were it not for you Just think of all the children Who would not know what to do Your unselfish dedication To this very worthy cause Will never win you riches Or a worldly applause Your names aren’t in the papers You will never win acclaim This is not the road to fortune This is not the road to fame You’ve sacrificed your leisure time And made a noble choice To assume responsibility So let us all rejoice In sincere appreciation For the burden that you share May God bless every one of you And God bless Kinship Care Lanny Poffo |
