MessageThank you for the excellent job of bringing 'The Wall That Heals' to Cherry Hill. I had not been to Washington, DC to see the wall and this was a great opportunity. Being from Oklahoma I was even able to find out that 8 were killed from my home town during the conflict - which I never realized.

MessageSue I am Lewis Colon the guy that put the bike together. I just wanted to say thanks for having the WALL THAT HEALS in NJ. I know that it was very comforting to the families of the soldiers who were KIA-MIA-POW. I put that bike together as my personal tribute to them. If you might have some photos for my album of the Chief during the escort and of the events. The bike belongs to everyone who served and their families. God Bless and hope to hear from you soon.

MessageI want to thank all the individuals, groups and families. that took the time to participate in the Wall mission, To bring the "Wall That Heals" to Cherry Hill.

It was cold. It was wet. We got it here.

It was an honor to view some of the memorabilia associated with the wall.

As the forecast was looking dim for this ride. I was hoping that 25 bikes would show. As I saw the various groups coming down Rt 295 to make the turnaround to the rest area, my spirits were lifted as we hit the 50 mark and to the best of my knowledge the final count was 70 bikes. I never did count the police carsor the cages. If anyone has a total please let me know.

The LEOS did a fantastic job of guiding us along RT 295. Medofrd, Willingboro thank you for sending your officers and vehicles to Camden County.

To the Cherry Hill Fire Department. Thank you for the coffee and other refreshments at the rest area. Forgive me for not getting the word to you in time to get the flag displayed along Chapel Ave.

To the American Legion Riders, Thank you for your support and resources to make this happen.

Sue Quinn-Morris, for what you did to get this event to actually happen Thank You.

THANK YOU to the Veterans of this country and to their families.

MessageI want to again thank you for all your efforts in bringing the Vietnam Traveling Wall to this area and honoring us Vietnam vets as well as ALL veterans of this great country. My wife & I were honored to represent Barrie Newton at Friday's night's candle light ceremony. I have his name placard along with the flag outside the front of my house and it will remain there as long as I remain.
Sincerely,

Kevin R. Fallon

MessageDear Sue:
It was a pleasure to finalIy meet you last Sunday. I can't thank you enough or say enough nice things about the work that was put into this four days of services. Everything was so beautiful and so moving. All these veterans must not be forgotten (not only Viet Nam, but all). We had no idea what to expect, and when we saw the service Friday, my husband and I came back Sunday for the closing. I was so happy that five of John's 17 nieces and nephews were able to attend. Five are in New Jersey, five in North Carolina, one in Massachusetts, one in New Hampshire, two in Oklahoma, one in Arizona, one in Texas, and one deceased. My husband is the only sibling living in New Jersey. His two older sisters live one in North Carolina and one Fla. John was the youngest of six children (two others deceased), so he was everyone's "little brother." John was only 19 when he was killed in Viet Nam, so he never had the opportunity to marry or have children of his own. John's military career was short, but he gave it his all. He went straight to Viet Nam from Basic Training, and was awarded two Bronze Stars and a purple heart in the four months he was serving with the 25th Infantry Division. It's a comfort to know that so many people still care, but a great sorrow to see all those names on the wall. God bless, and thank you. Walt and Kathryn Cartwright

MessageI wanted to drop you a note to thank you for all of your time and effort in preparing the tribute to my brother William Hamacher, my cousin John Rodgers and all of the Vietnam Veterans remembered at your April 17th service.
It was such a well executed, moving and fitting tribute to the young men.
I have visited the Wall in Cooper River Park and the original in Washington, but I never felt as moved and proud as I did at your service in Cherry Hill.
Warmest thanks to you and the members of the American Legion.
Marge Dantonio
