MessageHi Judy,

So sorry for not writing sooner. I don't go on the computer that often, (you're saying to yourself, how can that be, in this day and age), so when I do go on, there are mounds and mounds of e-mails. Last week, I did call your dad to see how you were doing and he said you did not have the gene for the recurring breast cancer. I am so happy for you! One of my dear friends, has that gene and has to get tested quite often. Reading all what you have to do, in great detail, just astounds me. You are so lucky to have a mom that is a nurse, to help guide you through all the medical jargon.
Wish you could here to feel the warm Southern California sun on your face. And being that you are not here right now, we will send warm thoughts your way.
Love,
Ramona Capon and family

MessageHI, Judy. Please forgive my not being in touch sooner. I have been thinking of you and sending positive thoughts! Tonight I caught up on the past month's events and it sounds like you are doing well, all things considered! Wonderful news about the lymph nodes; I know it was a shock after the initial diagnosis but it could have been so much worse.

I was at my plastic surgeon today for a routine follow-up. It's been 18 months since my initial surgery and as I walked into the hospital I got this really funky feeling. I knew I was a million miles away from where I started this journey, but I also felt the presence of having left a part of myself there. I left my breasts there, but I left the cancer there as well. The yin-yang of it all. But I know the best of me is still in tact, and I will be here to watch my children grow up. As will you. Try to focus on that as you endure the rigors of chemo.

Please call me if you want to talk; I went through expansion and can give you some 'tips' on how to alleviate some of the discomfort. And please know it won't always feel that way! Cell: 917-930-5361 Home: 630-359-5650.

Hi Judy,

Thinking of you today and hope your first round goes well . . .

Yes, the bump in the road analogy is kind of weird; i'm thinking it's more like a turn in the road. You took a turn and are going a somewhat different direction (it's not just a bump), but you are still on the road, oh yes you are! And Daphne and Heather and all of us are on there with you! Whee! Let's stop at A&W and get a rootbeer float (that's what i do on the road).

Love, LaSota family
