MessageLaura- you make me laugh out loud! Too funny... and how were you able to absolutely clone your husband??? Scary picture of Jackson in his Thanksgiving Feast outfit- it IS Matt- seriously!
Keep 'em coming, and when he's 21 you can publish them all - with Jackson's permission of course.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
Aunt M.

MessageAddendum (Donner Party) -

Now I have to admit that this was one of Laura's best blogs, and I myself read it a few times, but I was hoping it would be a bit more reality based. So we went for a walk in the woods, that is indeed true, as was the fact that the trail was heavily laden with recently fallen leaves. But Laura makes it seem like we went in circles, hopelessly lost and then just happen to, coincidentally, I mean just by chance stumble upon civilization. My friends. . . no. I was entirely confident in my navigation. Not only did we not deviate from the trail, but we actually joined the larger circuit trail exactly where we were supposed to. We were never lost, nor was there ever any real danger of sleeping in the woods. I just had a sense. . . .onward and forward, just like Lewis and Clark (ok, never mind that they were based on water), we fearlessly fought through the wilds of the jungle (ok, so it wasn't really a jungle but rather a small encircled park), we perservered.

and that my frieds, is the real truth.
matt (aka intrepid explorer)

MessageYou're seriously the best parent ever. How do you think of all of these strategies? I think you should think about writing a book or making a go at selling your laminated reward lists and schedules. Seriously, I think parents would be all over that. Love your blog.

MessageA belated note on your wonderful commentary - have to tell you that while you may take credit for many of the visits to your site, we tend to go back and then back again to reread many of your entries - always brings a smile! What comes across is your clever sense of humor and the joy that Jackson brings. Please keep up your good work.
Love, Judy

MessageMatt's rejoinder (Sleepy Time): technically, I did not succumb to pain, but rather boredom. Jackson fell asleep on me and I was trapped in a room with no light, no adult conversation (Laura was blogging at the time -- you'd think maybe she would keep me company, but she has her blogging priorities. smilie Nope, not a thing to do - not even a book. After watching the fan spin a few dozen times, I could only take so much. I tried to get up without waking the Little Sleepy Head, but that was my mistake. He awoke within 2 minutes. Lesson learned: watch the spinning fan a few hundred times next time. matt
