Message | 2. I have the map of the National Blue Trail (Countrywide Blue Tour) in scanned form. But there is a problem: it is very old one, about ten years old, and generally the route changes often, and the route isn't updated. Its size is about 75 MByte in JPG pictures. I can send it to you in packed form. I have another map about the route of the trail: www.rp-ddk.extra.hu/Taj_terkepek/kektura_2009_3.jpg It show the whole route of the Blue Trail and its stamping places on one, big map sheet. I think, they are enough to plan your hike in Hungary. But if you have anther questions, don't hesitate, please! |

Message | Hello Jasse, I answered to you in e-mail, but I write down here, as well: Of course, many people have written to me, the travel guide book ran out in the book shops. Unfortunately I don't have any books, because last year I gave my spare books as gift to one of my friends. But we have two possibilities: 1. There is a very good website in Hungary about the hiking trails. The hikers update it regularly, you can find there every Hungarian trail as a map, but you can download them onto your GPS, as well. Its address is: www.turistautak.hu/ I give you a second link: www.turistautak.hu/ =0 It shows the western end of the Blue Trail at the Hungarian-Austrian border. You have to follow only the blue strip signs in north-eastern direction. The another blue strip signs go to Southwestern Hungary. You can use this map easily, the zoom is controllable with the + and - marks on the left side and you can drag the map with the cursor. 2. Message | Hello Luc! I was on a more-day-long hike on the previous days, so I can answer only now! I'm very glad, that you are preparing a holiday in Hungary! I think, this country is small (similar to Belgium), but it has a lot of sights in the middle of Europe! If you need some information about the country or other things, write please, either here in the Guestbook, or you can find my e-mail address at the bottom of the Contents in the left side, but I write down here, as well: [email protected] Best regards, Bela |

Message | Hello Uli, I collected information, unfortunately the stamping booklet isn't in the book shops, you can buy it only at the offices of tourist associations, and in the one mentioned shop (it is very close to the central office). But I have an idea! If you write me your address in e-mail, I will buy one piece and send you it in an envelope. Its price isn't very big, 1000 HUF, about 4 Euro. Then if we will meet once, you will pay me one-two pint of beer and won't be my debtor anymore! |
