MessageDear Steve and Julia,
I'm not sure where the messages I've been sending have been going ... hopefully you haven't gotten 3 identical messages. Anyway, here goes. Congratulations on the 1000 km mark! You'll be able to enter the Ironman Contest when you finish this trip! Mark and I, and the students at school, are thoroughly enjoying " smilie smilie smilie riding alongside" via the internet and your great blog site! The kids are amazed at what you are doing smilie , Parisa smilie exclaimed in her thick Scottish brogue the other day as we were viewing Steve's blog about Scotland, "I know that castle! My Mum and Dad have taken me there!" and I'm sure she has as many of the Scottish castles are near her village. As well, several students squealed with delight when they saw the pictures of Paris and the Eiffel Tower, "Oooooh I've been there before!" One student even said, "I know that building, it's the Louvre, my Dad made us all go there!" With our children, it is not surprising they have been to these places as they come from all corners of the globe! I'm glad you have been safe and eating well (pizza, crepes, waffles, baguettes, Mmmmm smilie ) Continue to be healthy, safe, and savour every moment! The pictures are wonderful, and the comments interesting ... there may be some gaps to fill in when you're back home! We miss you at school, but am happy you are having such a wonderful adventure! Keep peddling! Love, Rebecca and Mark P.S. Steve - Mark started school "GRUELLING"!

MessageGreetings Steve and Julia,

Just thought I would drop you a note to say you have two more fans following you on your World Tour. The trip sounds fantastic so far, thank you for blogging your experiences so we less adventurous types can live vicarious through you.

Steve, your Dad called last week re the alarm system. I had mentioned to him I think you had removed the hardware but I did not know what you had done with it. If I can be of any help please let me know.

Till next time, safe travels and enjoy.

Tim Sabo

MessageHaven't seen any more comments about a sore a-s so I have to guess that our prayers worked smilie smilie . Glad to see that you 2 are having a great time(great pictures, more pictures) although I would guess that occasionally there are days where you would like to be in your own bed, but look at all the stories you are going to be able to tell your grandchildren. I guess I am getting ahead of myself. You need children first smilie smilie. You guy's take care of each other, be safe. Enjoy for all of us that wish we were there in real life with you because before you know it, it will be lots of pictures and great memories.

Message1000km...CONGRATULATIONS!
That must be far behind you already. Thanks for all of the stories and pictures...looks like you are having a wonderful time.
It is finally spring here and I have seen a few green blades of grass...no leaves on the trees yet, but, the sun is out.
Hope your next 1000K are even better than the first ones!
Happy Cycling!
Joyce
