MessageMy ancestors were from Croghan NY and Maurice Bruet invented the first motorized ice cutter and manufactured it in Carthage. Great pictures of the ruins that perhaps are the remains of the factory. Anyone with any other web sites that would provide more information regarding this industry, please contact me at the above e-mail address.
Keep up the great work. smilie

MessageI love that there are all of these images of old building in New York State. So even if by any chance they are torn down, there is still documented proof of their existence. smilie

MessageThank you for the pictures. I am 68 now. A native of New York and come from a family that had several farms a half century and longer ago. They too are long gone. It is a shame that in my generation we have seen the destruction of the hard work that went into clearing the land, building barns and farm houses. Some farms were in families for 200 years plus. Virtually all are gone. Thank you for photographing these historical buildings.
