MessageNeither Google nor Google Teacher proffer an API — payment be partial to nor means, as far as I can impart, relevancy me to it if I am terrible — that would contract out us do a Google Search and then sort/filter/enhance the results to combine value and use in exploration and in erudite tools.

Thoroughly objectionable as a search solution representing the erudite literature. Think of the break outlay to study and examination tools, and all the things that advance experiment with tools facilitate.

MessageHello! @Michael O'Mahoney, or anyone who knows how I can get in touch with one of the SADF Navy divers who assisted in the rescue that day, either Paul Whiley or Gary Scoular? I am writing an article for a U.S. Navy publication that will entail information on the Seals, rescue ops and other technical issues.
Any information will be greatly appreciated!
All the best,
Tanja from NY

MessageI was on the Oceanos with my wife and 5 year old daughter during that fateful voyage. We boarded a lifeboat late in the evening of August 3rd and spent around two and a half terrifying hours in the rough seas before being rescued by the tanker Great Nancy early the next morning.....kids first by being hauled up the side of the tanker one at a time by their crew members, in a plastic bin tied to a rope. Then the four adults, also one at a time, tied to the rope. Like all who were on board, our story is much longer but Praise to God for the miracle that we all survived.

MessageJust watched NOVA: Why Ships Sink and was stunned to say the least. Curious, I searched for the "legal" obligations of a cruise ship Capt and and couldn't believe there are no legal obligations for a Capt to remain on board to see to the safety of passengers and crew. There is a moral obligation and tradition which nearly all Captains do follow but I guess you cant legislate cowardliness. Clearly, Francesco Schettino showed his true colors. YELLOW. I will not dishonor true ship masters by giving him the title "Captain". In addition, the cruise line itself had a poor record of safety. 2 prior sinking s in 3 years?! Looking at some of the history of safety aboard modern cruise ships over the past 30 years or so, it's apparent the lines care only about packing as many paying customers into a ship and safety is low on the list. Money and time will repair their damaged reputation if there is a catastrophe. SOLAS and/or IMO should have some legislation created to make this kind of behavior illegal and within the realm of prosecution. heroism is not completely gone in the world as demonstrated by Steve Moss and other passengers but it is definitely declining in the world today. In this world of frivolous law suits, deflecting blame and the "not my problem" attitude, it appears the law has to force a leader to step up and fulfill his or her duty. I don't know how I would react under a similar situation but it looks like there was enough of time to do a proper evac and little panic.
