MessageI recently became aware of the severity and frequency of migraine sufferers when seeing info on it on shows like cbs news and The Journal with Joan Lunden, and then it hit home with a close friend. Keep up the fight and posting the info.

MessageThe 2nd video was me before my doctor gave me Imitrex injections. I don't go anywhere without them and I highly suggest them for anyone who suffers from this debilitating condition! The headache goes away within 7 minutes.

MessageHi Paul,

Just wanted to say you´re not alone.

It´s 5.30am here and I have just been awoken by ¨the pain¨ for the second time tonight. Am currently enjoying the euphoria of it abating - but apprehensive of the paranoia that it will return. What an extreme cycle we live in!

Stay strong.

Alastair

MessageI was glad to see this web site.I also suffer from extreme cronic headaches. In the last 9 years I have only gone a period of 3 and a half months of no attacks.I rarely get one month out of a year of relief. The videos I saw on this site showed me that there really are others out there with this horrifying condition.I think it is wrong that the suffers of this condition dont have accses to the medication needed to ease the pain.Due to lack of insurance. And even with insurance, coverage is minimal.I am seriosly considering starting some type of orgaization that will build such a hugh amount of money that will be able to help people with this condition. My condition has gotten to the point were my whole life revolves around the pain in my head. Therefore maybe its time to devote my time to people like me.I would like to see some kind of organization be set up that helps those with the monetary needs of alot of these suffers.Beleive me,my heart goes out to all with this condition. Sincerely Mark Bickel. smilie

MessageHello to All,

I have suffered from cluster headaches for 21 years and finally I received an appropriate diagnosis yesterday from my nurse practitioner. I have been an RN for 10 years. I have been to my PCP, neurologist, allergist, and no one was ever capable of treating my symptoms, which included excruciating pain weekly. I have a history of chronic, continuous cluster headaches. I have taken many antibiotics, allergy nasal sprays, and anti-histimine for years with no success of relief. I have had a CT scan of my sinuses that came back normal along with allergy scratch tests that showed positive for "mold." I have tried every OTC pain reliever and allergy medication. I have lived with eye pain so severe that I have had sore spots and bruising around the bridge of my nose from holding pressure to try and relieve the pain. I have been to the ER for nausea and vomiting only to be told that I was dehydrated and probably had gastritis. Chronic pain is real and only gets worse when you are not diagnosed appropriately. How did I finally get the help I needed? I was finishing my shift at the hospital and vomited in a patient's bathroom. Saw the NP, my PCP was out. She took one look at my face and drooping, glassy eye and came back with Zomig. I took one at he office and one at home. By the end of the night, I was feeling less eye and head pain. I am doing a lot of research hoping for a better life!

MessageHi Paul!
Great post! I'm sure many relate to what the author said! I sure did and she's (if I may infer gender) right! We all do appreciate company and friendship, we just don't acknowledge it all the time, especially when we're merely coping! Cory
