Hi! Lez. I finally had the chance to view this site full of love and memories. Reading on your blog brought me back to memory lane as if I was really there. The imposed discipline by your parents and mama interests me giving me some hints on I should be doing as parent. Your memories of Jo and Lynette made me laugh a lot and still laughing as of this writing hahahaha... really funny especially the slamming door.. kawawa naman si Lynette. hehehe.. Anyway, I'm really thankful that I was able to get this site and made me happy to see your wonderful memory of the past. The present.. well.. nothing left to do but to .. live it.. love it... and enjoy every bit of it!! Take care Lez, I love you.. (can't hold back the tears of joy!)

MessageHi! I am a friend of your Dad from Malolos, and has been associated with him through Rotary. He has told me about you and your website.

I'm so inspired by your attitude in life. Though we haven't met, I feel as if you are also a close relative in the same way that I have so considered my relationship with your father.

Please continue to look at life in such a positive manner. I hope that you will continue to inspire many others as you have inspired me.

May the Lord always look upon you with favor!

MessageHi Leslie,

I just read all your articles that were attached to the photo you sent me. I liked reading them very much....I was hoping nga for an article that might have included Carlos and myself...I can recall some really good memories when we were all together as kids.
I also remember that birthday party of Carlos' from the photo you sent. That was when I was standing in line waiting for my turn at Pin the Tail on the Donkey!
Birthday parties are so much more fun when we were young. Although I will not be there for Natasha's 4th birthday, I'll make it a point to be there in spirit nonetheless!

Let me know when you have more for me to read.
Till then.
Love,
Tasha

MessageHello, Leslie,

This is Auntie Clarita Reyes Lapus, the notorious second cousin of your Papa. Lola Claro's and Lolo Paulino's children and grandchildren used to live in the big ancestral house (razed to the ground in the late forties) at Paseo del Congreso, Barasoain, Malolos.

Your Papa remembers me as the stubborn cousin whom Lolo Paulino ibinitin ng patiwarik because all the children were scared of him and stopped making noise when he says Sssshhhh! but I would cry louder to irritate him to show that I'm not intimidated by anybody.

Except for my temper tantrums when I felt naaagrabyado ako life was harmonious in that big house and that is where my mother, teresita Mama Sita Reyes learned Malolos cuisine, maybe from Tia Pinang or Tia Conching of Bataan). It's a pity though that nobod all the recipes she learned there. I vaguely recall how she made kesong puti from gatas ng kalabaw and wish I could do it when somebody gives me carabao milk.

I'm glad that you are writing about your life to preserve such wisdoms for the future generation.

Hope you continue writing.

Love,
Auntie Clarita
