MessageI have my own ideas of Lanny Poffo.

He was in the COW Palace in San Francisco, wrestling Hulk Hogan before a sell-out crowd in 1990. I asked him for my autograph and he signed it. He was the nicest wrestler of them all!

Some wrestlers were stuck up. Some only signed for the pretty girls. I am obese. He was kind.

God bless Lanny Poffo!

MessageHey there. My name is Trena. You used to come to a little town called Bluford Illinois. Our local fire department held fund raisers and you used to come to our high school and wrestle. You were my favorite. I remember on my 7th birthday, my uncle (a fireman) had it set up for you to call me up to the stage. You had everyone in the gym sing happy birthday to me and gave me a present, earrings. You talk about excited!!! I was on cloud nine. I will never forget that.
My brother was able to take a picture of Macho Man in the locker room...he signed it for him.
Gosh that was so long ago. I am now 33...LOL
Thanks for the great memories!

Messageit was around 1980 0r maybe 1981 at the r.w. combs elementary school in hazard, kentucky. i was just a kid attending live wrestling matches for the very first time with my father who is now deceased and my great uncle. it was leaping lanny and pistol pez whatley vs the devil's duo in the main event for the icw tag titles. the devil's duo managed to hang on to the titles that night with help from their manager, izzy slapowitz. immediatley after the match was over, some guy just behind us jumped up holding a chair and yelled "LET'S GET HIM!" A mob of people then chased izzy slapowitz and the devil's duo to their dressing room as i recall a chair smashing against the door just as izzy slapowitz closed it behind him! my father said "come on, let's get out of here." however, things cooled down and dad took me to ringside to meet my favorite icw wrestler...R.I.P. "PISTOL" PEZ WHATLEY.. a great wrestler and a very nice man.

Messagehey lanny, just wanted to say i'm a big fan. i loved your genius persona, having always been a heel fan. i found out from wikipedia that you are the macho man's brother, trip out! by the way, i've been dissapointed over the years that the genius was never included in any wrestling video games. i hope this situation can be rectified. i vote for you, as the genius, to be included on the next smackdown vs raw game as a legend. peace n chicken grease lanny!

MessageI will always remember Lanny. Lanny use to be on TV more saturday mornings/evenings then most superstars I can remember. Lanny always use to have that loud punch that gave one heckava smack, I even remember the first time I seen someone smack concrete, back first. I believe it was a primetime wrestling episode where I think it was Harley Race who punched/headbutted Lanny outside the ring and Lanny went back to the concrete floor and it gave such a smack I actually thought it was the sound of his backbone cracking into a million pieces. Lanny's got a great 3+ hour shoot interview by RF Video. This guy has been everywhere with his big brother and Dad. What a nice guy.

Ray
