MessageGenius you're the best, I wish you were still in the ring,
Your poems were o-so great, most we could all sing,
as a kid i booed you, you were treated with no respect,
but now I have a change of heart, years later in retrospect,
nowadays the ring is filled with lots of angry youth,
they all claim being mean and tough- but who cares if that's the truth?
they all wear black and everything is stabbing from behind,
but no one every goes your route, the never use the mind!

I know that stunk, but I just wanted some form of poetry in my lil' comment.
WWE needs a guy like you back! You should be managing, or announcing... something. You could definitely teach some of these new wrestlers a thing or two.

Cool Site You Got Here! smilie

MessageThe only thing i'm sorry for you is that Mr Perfect didn't win the wwf title smilie
He had to win it because you and him made a perfect feud.
You were perfect like Perfect's manager.

That shows why the wrestling isn't fair sometimes.

You made a good job smilie

MessageArticle from the Toronto Sun : Lanny brought the Thunder! smilie

He wasn't doing atomic drops or clotheslines, but Leaping Lanny Poffo still brought the thunder for Wrestlemania XXV.

The ex-wrestler, who also goes by the stage name The Genius, signed autographs last night at a Boston Pizza, on Carlson Crt. in Etobicoke, to not only celebrate the event with 300 fans but to raise funds for the Daily Bread Food Bank.

"I'm here to help, because I do the same stuff when I'm at home in Florida," said Poffo, who's also the brother of former WWF wrestler Macho Man Randy Savage.

The Calgary-born wrestler said the biggest achievement of his 21-year career was winning a match against Hulk Hogan in 1989.

"I'm one of two guys to beat him. It was the greatest moment of my career," said Poffo, 54.

"About 19 years ago in Wrestlemania, Brutus 'the Barber' Beefcake cut my hair that night, and now he's suffering from male pattern baldness."

Organizers were giving visitors half off the $20 admission if they donated a non-perishable food item. Their goal was to collect 136 kilos of food for the food bank.

Ron Smith brought his 16-year-old son, Corey, from Orangeville to watch the pay-per-view matches.

"He's a big fan of John Cena," Smith said of the first eight-man ladder match, which was won by C.M. Punk. "I follow EDGE's career because he's a local Orangeville guy. We love wrestling because it's entertaining."
